Mikhail Grigorievich Vodyanoy died on October 11, 1987 in Odessa. He was buried at the Second Christian Cemetery; a monument by sculptor Alexey Kopyev and architect Evgeny Olenin was erected on his grave.

Demina and Vodyanoy played together on the stage of the Odessa Musical Comedy Theater, where the actress created diverse images of heroines and soubrettes, and in concerts and at creative evenings. Over 52 years of serving art at the Odessa Musical Comedy Theater, Margarita Demina played over a hundred roles.
The couple had no children.
Demina died the day after her birthday - February 15, 1999. As Demina requested, her ashes rest in the same grave with Mikhail Vodyany.
