THE TALE OF LAZY

"Once upon a time there was a lazy man

, Lazily leafing through the days, Our fast age has not yet known such a lazy person.
It used to be that he would lie down on the bed and sleep for twenty hours: He really doesn’t want to sleep, but he’s too lazy, brother, to wake up. And if this individual lowers his loins into a chair, then he’ll sit like that all day: he’s too lazy to get up from the chair. And if, having overcome laziness, He stands up honorably, Then he will stand like a stump, Without moving, in place. But one day, With great difficulty, Moving his legs, The lazy man went on a fine day to walk along the road. He walks for an hour, and three, and five... The sun is already setting... The lazy man is already tired of walking, But too lazy to stop! He should turn home, But he’s too lazy to walk back, And he went into the distance in a straight line And where he is is unclear! It’s not easy to find the poor guy... And here it’s convenient to say that Laziness can take you very, very far.” Bakhnov V.

Today we will look at statements of laziness from famous and successful people.

Celebrities and big people celebrate laziness

Many smart people have discovered that they are not busy and useful to society; a person cannot be fully happy. For example, Oleg Tinkov said in his Portable Business Secret 2.0 that only an entrepreneur who created his own company from nothing truly enjoys his business, unlike those who simply squeezed Soviet companies without doing everything possible for their emergence and development.

He also notes that starting your own company from scratch is really great.

When someone says that they don't have time to do any work, then it is likely that this person is too lazy to do something or simply wouldn't want to do it.

But what do I think about the laziness of big people.

Fuller T.

wrote that the vast majority of people can take only one big step towards the goal, but cannot insist and consistently follow their own path. As a result, those who were able to go slower begin to achieve their goals later, but they were consistent and did not give in to their lens.

Fuller T.

He believed that a lazy person is dead in his long life.

Even the most pleasant fate will not allow the light to achieve anything. This was the opinion of Carlisle T.

If you are lazy and persistent, you will certainly achieve something. Georges Feydeau

They say that laziness is the engine of progress. Nevertheless, we already found out yesterday that this is a significant step in self-development. Today we will look at statements about laziness from famous and successful people.

Self-fulfilling prophecy

One of the frequently encountered mechanisms for the formation of a behavior pattern that we call “laziness” is the so-called “self-fulfilling prophecy” scenario. The human psyche is extremely dependent on social interaction: through communication with other people, we not only learn cultural values and norms, but also get to know ourselves, based on the feedback from the people around us. In this way, an idea of one’s own “I” (“I-concept”) is formed, on which almost all actions and actions of the individual are based.

The process of formation of the “self-concept” is continuous throughout life, but its especially important period is preschool and primary school age. Due to the characteristics of children's perception, comments from adults or peers about the child's personality or character are often accepted by him as objective facts, without filtering or critical analysis. Such an uncritical perception, especially in relation to negative comments, under a number of circumstances, can persist into adulthood - this is influenced by both personal characteristics and the conditions of upbringing.

If others manipulate the guilt of a child or vulnerable adult, creating a toxic feeling of shame for manifestations of “laziness”: “Aren’t you ashamed to hang around doing nothing? If I went and helped my mother (learned my lessons, earned money, provided what I needed),” a reactive distortion of the “self-concept” occurs.

Under the influence of social pressure, a person himself begins to consider himself “lazy” and involuntarily behaves in accordance with this idea: “I can’t do anything, I’m lazy!” Society, in turn, reinforces this distortion, sticking the label even tighter: “We told you: he’s lazy!” - and the “vicious circle” eventually closes.

Most often, behind the endless “fight against laziness,” repeated from generation to generation, several unresolved conflicts are hidden at once.

This may be an eternal contradiction between “fathers and sons”, consisting in a total discrepancy in values between older and younger family members. Or diametric differences in personal worldview: for example, if parents believe that the child should be busy every minute, “so as not to wander around the gateways,” and do not leave him time for rest and free play; or one of the spouses considers the other’s passion for computer games to be a “useless waste of time,” etc. In such situations, the words “you’re lazy” carry something like the following message: “Your behavior does not meet my expectations, and I don’t like it!”

Sometimes such cases reach the point of absurdity: for example, a freelancer working remotely is called “lazy” by older relatives because he does not want to “go to work like normal people,” despite the fact that office work is paid noticeably worse.
