Practice of success: belief in miracles is the correct settings of the mind

Should you believe in miracles? 05 January 2014, 00:00 | Katya Kozhevnikova

Even adults sometimes call the New Year holidays a time of miracles. What are miracles? And do they have a place in our adult lives? And is it worth supporting the belief in miracles in our children? One of my friends said: “I want my son to grow up in the real world, and not in the fictional world of magical elves.” Is this the right approach, or should children be left to believe in miracles? Let's think about this topic today.

Growing up, my sisters and I constantly lost things in our apartment. The stories of these disappearances were almost mystical. For example, for a month the whole family cannot find the eldest daughter’s workbook, and then, when everyone has long given up hope, it “pops up”, ending up in the most visible place. We jokingly called these phenomena black holes or the machinations of the brownie.

We joked about it, and my younger sister seemed to really believe it. Moreover, trying to find something, she asked the brownie to help in the search. Moreover, she had a special system: she did not address the mythical character directly, but told her doll to convey the request to the brownie. And, oddly enough, after this game ritual, things were usually found. We laughed at my sister... but in a critical situation, when we desperately needed to find something and nothing helped, we embarrassedly asked her to “talk to the brownie.” Or, if she was not nearby, they mentally turned to the fictional character. What difference does it make whether he exists or not? The main thing is that it works.

During the New Year holidays, many parents wonder whether it is worth playing the ubiquitous New Year's game dad-in-the-beard-of-cotton wool with their child, convincing him of the existence of Santa Claus, and up to what age this belief should be maintained. Some fathers and mothers even condemn this traditional approach to the holiday, saying that they want to raise a realist and are against “deceiving” the child.

In fact, it is not only useful for children, but even necessary to believe in miracles.

Protection

A small child in the real world is completely defenseless. To make it less scary, children believe in miracles. That their parents are omnipotent and are able to protect them from any danger, that good always triumphs over evil, that magical power will help them find a way out of even a hopeless situation. Belief in miracles is an adaptation mechanism of the psyche that remains with us on a subconscious level until adulthood. It is he, according to psychologists, who helps us survive the most difficult moments in life.

Creation

Belief in miracles, fairy tales and magical heroes helps children develop their imagination. Remember how, as children, we imagined ourselves in the role of a princess or a sorceress from the last fairy tale we heard? We thought about what three wishes we would make for a Goldfish, fantasized about what Santa Claus's house at the North Pole looked like, and believed that when we sleep, our toys wake up and begin to live their own lives. If you take all this away from a child, what will he have to think about? You can’t tell your child that there is a real world with newspapers, football and politics, and sometimes it can also be relatively fun.

It is thanks to fantasies that a child develops creative thinking and learns to come up with something new. Subsequently, this will be useful in any area of life.

Nothing is impossible

The word “impossible” often ruins the lives of adults too. With its help, we put ourselves in limits that we cannot overcome. And people who do not know such a word always continue to struggle and look for ways to achieve their goal. Such people set world records, defeat diseases, and make scientific discoveries.

So, at least in childhood, a child should live in a world where nothing is impossible. In the future, this will help him look for and find ways out of seemingly hopeless situations. Otherwise, he will live all his life within given limits, and instead of opportunities, he will be surrounded by impossibilities.

When a person does not believe in miracles or luck, he does not see signals in the world that tell him how to solve a problem, and he misses his chance. Children's faith in fairy tales makes us always hope for the best, and this helps us see options for solving the problem.

In addition, belief in miracles, turning to mythical characters with some kind of request gives us the necessary psychological attitude for its implementation. If you remember my childhood story, it’s unlikely that the brownie helped us find lost things. When we cannot solve a problem, we often panic and do not hear the prompts of our subconscious. And by turning to a fictional creature, we seem to shift responsibility onto him, calm down and solve our problem.

In addition, raising a child in a rational manner does not mean preparing him well for real life. On the contrary, our world does not always obey rational logic. For example, emotions and feelings are usually irrational. A person should be ready for this from childhood.

Did you believe in miracles as a child? Do you support this faith in your children? How? Tell your stories.

Faith in miracles and Hanukkah

Hanukkah in Jewish tradition is a holiday of Faith, Light and Miracle. Almost 22 centuries ago, thanks to the faith of the Maccabees, they won a war against the vastly superior Seleucid forces. And when they cleansed the Temple, they could not find ritually pure oil that would be suitable to light the temple lamp and consecrate the Temple for the resumption of worship.

After a long search, one small sealed jug of pure oil was found, but it was so small that it could only be enough for one day of burning the menorah. However, the Maccabees still decided to begin the consecration of the temple immediately and light the menorah, and then a miracle happened: there was enough oil for exactly eight days - for all the time it took to prepare new clean oil.

Faith, Light and Miracle are always together and one is impossible without the other. The light without Faith will fade. Faith without Light will become a sect. A miracle will not happen without Faith and without Light.

What is a miracle?

What is a miracle? Let's take a look at Wikipedia.

«Miracle

- in the worldview of theism, the violation of the natural course of things by the will of almighty God - by the same will of the established laws of nature."

According to another formulation, a miracle is “a supernatural event, phenomenon or action that cannot be rationally explained and goes beyond the laws of nature.”

What is a miracle? Is this really a violation of the natural course of things? Or is our limited rational thinking unable to perceive some events? Just 200 years ago, the light bulb and radio were miracles. There is no point in talking about mobile phones at all. In fact, the world is full of miracles: a butterfly, the birth of a child, the human mind. After all, all this also defies rational explanation. For me, a miracle is a natural manifestation of the process of Creation.

And I do not invite you to a theistic or, especially, religious perception of the world. On the contrary, a miracle is material. I invite you to reconfigure your main tool for interacting with the world - your mind.

About faith in miracles using personal example

One believes that everything is accidental, the other that nothing is accidental. The most interesting thing is that both are right. Randomness is described by statistics, causality is described by the laws of nature. In cases where there is a choice, a person can make different decisions.

27 years ago I was standing at a bus station in Tel Aviv. I didn’t have enough shekel and a half for travel, and the driver didn’t want to let me in. I walked around the station, confident that a solution would be found. And I found the wallet. There was a penny bracelet and 2.5 shekels.

26 years ago I already had a car (an old green '72 Ford). I stopped in the old quarter, where I had come for work, and got out of the car. You probably know this feeling when your hand automatically pushes the door, and your brain already understands that something irreparable has happened... I slammed the door and the key inside the car.

What happened next? I finished my business, and I knew for sure that if I walked around the houses, I would find the key. It's hard to believe, but I found an old key and opened the car. Yes, you can’t open a new car so easily, but that’s not the point. I want to draw your attention to a state of mind that is ready to accept a decision.

Continuing the transport line. About 12 years ago I went to the forest by car. Just breathe. There is no winter in Israel, but sometimes it rains, and then the clay soil becomes impassable. Simply put, I'm stuck. There was no hurry, I decided to make myself some coffee and wait for the decision. As soon as I finished my coffee, a huge jeep pulled up behind me. The driver nodded in understanding almost without words, unwound the cable of the winch attached to the front end and effortlessly pulled my car out of the mud.

The confidence that there is a solution to any situation predetermines the result. And I can cite dozens and even hundreds of cases from life. This is not at all a blind faith that everything will be good, it is an active state of search and readiness. In this world everything is random, and every accident has its own reason.

believe in miracles and they will definitely come true

In order to follow my instructions, you will have to arm yourself with a sheet of paper or cardboard, a pen or pencil, paints and brushes (if you don’t know how, don’t want to or just don’t like to draw, you will need scissors, glue and several magazines with pictures ). If all of the above items made you think of putting off the article, despite the desire to build a treasure map, don’t do it! Even for those who want to keep the effort to a minimum, there is an alternative - you only need paper and pen. So, if you believe in miracles, in the power of thought and desire, then I suggest you believe (of course, if this is not already happening) in the ancient Chinese science of Feng Shui. Here we will not go into detail about the goals, methods and means of this teaching (whoever is interested knows, right?), but it is of no use to us. It will suffice to inform the dear reader of this article that followers of Feng Shui believe that every aspect of our lives corresponds to one of the compass directions. There are eight such directions in total (north, south, west, east, northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast). But let's start in order. Once you start making a “treasure map”, you will understand everything yourself. Take a large (or not very large) sheet of paper and divide it into nine equal parts, drawing two straight lines from top to bottom and from right to left. A kind of giant “tic-tac-toe” - the grid is no different in principle from the game we all know (except in size). When the drawing work is finished, we will decide on the cardinal directions and try to correlate them with our map. Unlike the geographic maps we are used to, in Feng Shui the map is located “upside down”. In the central lower compartment is the north, to the left of it (in the lower left corner) is the northeast, to the right of the north is the northwest. Opposite the north in the central part of the top row is the south, in the upper left corner is the southeast, in the upper right, as you might guess, is the southwest. To the right of the central sector is the west, and to the left is the east. I apologize in advance to those who are at least a little familiar with the teachings of Feng Shui for such meticulous details. But in this article we are not studying this ancient science, but learning how to make a treasure map. So, having decided on the directions, you can start filling out your magic map. I am sure that all the skeptics, devoid of romance and the desire to fantasize, have already left our ranks, leaving only those who are eager to find out what to do next to make the miracle happen. Therefore, I will not torment you with waiting. Begin! It's time to illustrate your desires in all aspects of your life, give them new strength and believe that they will come true! The northeast sector is responsible for wisdom and knowledge. If you are a student, draw a red diploma or a gold medal here. Here you can write down (and, if possible, illustrate) all the goals that you want to achieve in this area. If you dream of becoming a great scientist, feel free to paste a photo of your idol here! If you want to enroll in a prestigious university - an image of this very university! North is all about career. Everything you dream about in this area, everything that you lack for a successful career, you need to try to place in this sector, using all available means - photographs, words, images of objects that are associated with successful activities in your work. The northwest symbolizes help from mentors and travel. This is a good place to place portraits of people whom you consider to be your mentors and expect help from them. For those who love to travel, I recommend choosing the brightest and most colorful photographs of the places you dream of going to and sticking them in the northwestern sector of the treasure map. In the absence of illustrations or the desire to tinker with pictures, you can simply write the names of the places where you want to visit in the future. The eastern sector is the family sector. Here you can place images of your family in the most joyful moments, and all the good things you strive for in family life. Turn on your imagination and get started! A picture with a happy family on the sea coast, an image of a healthy and happy baby (if you want to have offspring soon), a daughter’s wedding with a handsome prince (if you just can’t get your child married), etc. It all depends on you ! The Western sector is everything that has to do with children - future and present. Here you can place children's drawings, images of toys that your child dreams of. If you are a person in a creative profession, this sector is also for you! If you dream of publishing a book, feel free to draw a volume with your name on the cover, paint pictures - place yourself here with a brush in your hand. Stimulating creativity is the task of the Western sector. South is the glory sector. This sector supports you as an individual and helps you achieve success and recognition in society. Here you can place images of any objects symbolizing glory - all objects rising upward, birds. Do you dream of any awards? Write like this: So-and-so (full name) received such-and-such a prize, award, etc. Southwestern sector - love and marriage. If you need to attract love into your life, this sector can be your help. Romantic images of couples in love, a pair of painted mandarin ducks (in Feng Shui they are considered symbols of love). Here you can write the qualities that you want to see in your future lover (beloved). If you already have a soulmate and you don’t plan to leave, paste your happiest photo here - let everything be as good as it is now! The southeast is one of the most important directions because it symbolizes wealth. Here you can place images of everything you want to buy - a car, a computer, a video camera, a trip to Paris - whatever you want! There are no photos - write a list of future acquisitions by hand, and most importantly - believe in luck! When the Treasure Map is ready, it is advisable to hang it in a visible place. If you are embarrassed to show off your “art” to guests and household members, place it away from prying eyes, but on the condition that you will see it from time to time. For example, on the inside door of a cabinet. And if this is too much for you, hide it in a secluded place, and try to take it out more often and admire your creation. By contemplating the Map, you will send signals to the Universe that you are ready for all the benefits you are looking at, as if attracting opportunities to yourself to make your desires come true! You will succeed! Taken from the website “Club of Successful People” by Alexander Konelsky.

What prevents a miracle from appearing in life?

Let's talk about what can prevent the attraction of miracles into our lives? An example story.

There is a flood in the city. One man sat on the roof of his house and prayed for salvation. A rescue boat approaches him and invites him to get into the boat.

- No, I believe that God will save me.

A little later, the man heard a helicopter overhead. A staircase is lowered down to him.

“No,” the man shouts, “God will save me!”

Soon the water covered the roof and the man drowned. He comes to God and asks:

- How is it that I believed, God, that you would save me, but you didn’t save me?

And God to him:

“I sent a boat for you, you didn’t want to be saved.” Then I sent a helicopter, you refused again, why are you still indignant?

  • The first wall we build around ourselves is despondency, pessimism. Did you know that despondency is one of the 7 deadly sins?
  • The second wall manifests itself in the forms of cynicism, arrogance, and vanity. Let's try to turn to the etymology of the word Vanity
, which comes from the words “vain” (vain) and “glory”. It is interesting to note that the word “miracle” comes from the Greek “kudos” (glory). That is, vanity is the complete opposite of a miracle. Inertia, closedness, disbelief, mistrust...

All these walls can be described in two words: pride and fear. Fear of life.

How to attract miracles?

There is a children's game called Simoron. Through it you can gain a positive experience of attracting a miracle. I call this a child’s game, because, on the one hand, simoron uses simple mechanisms, simple settings of the mind, but does not lead to serious transformations and changes in consciousness.

Why do I say “attract” and not “create”? This is important - to tune your mind not to yet another “I can do anything” wall, but to trust the World that the solution already exists, the resources already exist. The ego is one of the most difficult walls to cross. That's why I say co-create. I do not create, but choose reality.

How to tune your mind to miracles?

The request, the desire that we send into the world is very important. How we imagine it, visualize it. There is a parable about a man who wanted to become rich and all the time imagined how he would count money. He ended up becoming a cashier.

Another mistake is talking about something that doesn't exist. Or about what is conditioned. As Panikovsky said: “I’m poor! I am old. Girls don't like me." People often say: “When I have money, time...”

And the most important thing is the unity of soul, heart and mind in relation to your goal or dream. By giving your mind conflicting messages, you confuse it. And no one knows what goal he will build from scraps of contradictions. Most likely, it’s not at all what you would like.

I want to draw your attention again to the fact that I am not talking about esoteric images, but about absolutely material mind settings and neural connections.

LeaderX100 - training to develop leadership qualities: how to get a 300% return on the course (video)

A week ago, one of my good friends had a birthday. I wrote to him: “Pini, every time I say thank you, I think of you.” And it is true. Years ago, he created a space of gratitude around himself. These were weekly meetings at his home where people came to learn gratitude. Gratitude is one of the most important keys to Co-Creation.

Trying to learn from anyone, I remember everyone who taught me, even the most insignificant things at first glance. I thank you for all my successes and successes, because they were made not only by me, but also by those forces that help me. People who taught me everything I know and can do, the Universe that provided all the resources.

We need to say “yes” to the opportunities that the Universe provides. There are many doors around us that can be opened. Each new experience expands our universe, and new doors appear there. But sometimes there are too many of them and you need to choose, focusing on who you are. In relation to your main dream, goal, task, be attentive to opportunities.

Belief in miracles and life beliefs

Much depends on perception and worldview. I said that for me a miracle is a natural manifestation of the process of Creation. As someone joked: “Matter is an objective reality given to us in sensations by God.”

Beliefs are useful things. They help us build a more or less understandable picture of the world. But those same beliefs can be limiting. Moreover, I argue that every belief is limiting.

“Under what we think lies what we believe - this is the outer cover of our state of mind.”

— Antonio Machado

When I read Tony Robbins' book, Unleashing the Giant Within, I had to think a lot about values and beliefs. Our values - whatever they are - are the compass that guides us towards our deepest dreams. Every decision is guided by these values, but in most cases we do not have them defined.

It is not the circumstances of life that shape us, but our beliefs about what those circumstances mean to us. The problem is this:

  1. most of us do not consciously decide what to believe;
  2. often our beliefs are based on an incorrect interpretation of past experience,
  3. Once we have acquired beliefs, we immediately forget that it is just an interpretation.

Ask yourself a few questions:

  1. What should my values be so that I can create the ultimate version of my destiny? To become better than you've ever been and make the biggest impact you've ever had in your life?
  2. What are my limiting beliefs?
  3. How can I destroy, transform them?

Trust the world that there will be a solution. There should not be blind faith, but an attunement of the mind.

Life rules of a successful person: failure is normal, the main thing is not to give up!

What is faith in a miracle and how to configure the mind to accept miracles?

Let’s summarize the article so that the main conclusions remain in your thinking.

  • A miracle is a natural manifestation of the process of Creation.
  • In this world everything is random, and every accident has its own reason.
  • We attract and co-create.
  • Say yes to the opportunities the Universe provides.
  • Place a question mark at the end of each belief.
  • Gratitude is the first key to Co-Creation.
  • Dream, plan, act.
  • Trust the Universe that the solution and resources are already there.

I mentioned religious, theistic and esoteric imagery. But I want you to look into the essence of these images and see that behind everything there are, first of all, the settings of your mind - how to perceive, how to think, how to accept.

Tune your mind and invite miracles into your life!
