Every fifth child who died was transported without a child seat or restraint. Every eighth accident is caused by a driver with less than three years of experience.

It is necessary to punish approximately... fire five dozen people from their positions for using the corresponding advantages, in the literal sense of the word. There is no need to punish - bring him to criminal liability or anything else. It's easy to fire! This will help. And in different positions: the prosecutor means get out, anyone else from the relevant list means goodbye. And not for official violations. Maybe a person is ideal, but if he uses these things, questions arise for him. This is, in any case, what they did and are doing in other countries. I think that if we create such a series of examples, the vast majority of law-abiding people will behave properly on the roads, including those who have certain advantages.”

- “Although I will say frankly that a positive coalition against violators is still more attractive to me than a negative coalition against officials, traffic police officers or something else, because very often all these negative coalitions are simply a way to collectively commit offenses.”
Our discussion today also took place, so to speak, along two such opposing tracks: what is more important for us to cope with problems on the roads – infrastructure or brains? Almost every speaker’s speech here came down to either one thing or the other. The drivers are not to blame - the roads are crappy, take care of the standards, change the responsibility... On the contrary, the drivers are absolutely uncultured, they don’t know how to drive, they don’t want to, they drink, the whole problem is with them, and not that we have outdated standards, poor coverage, cars without ABS and so on.
