Mikhail Gorshenev was born in 1973 in the Leningrad region. He received an education as a restorer, but did not work in his profession for long, taking up music. In the early 90s, together with Andrei Knyazev, he founded the group “King and Jester”. Their first album, “A Stone to the Head,” was released in 1996 on Sergei Kuryokhin’s Kuritsa Records label and immediately brought the group widespread fame.
In total, the team released 12 records, after which they disbanded. “Gorshok” took up solo work, recorded several albums and composed the musical “TODD”, which is still successfully performed on the Moscow stage.
The musician suffered from drug and alcohol addiction for many years. The singer, according to investigators, died due to an overdose of morphine.
The meaning of the song “The Magician” by the group King and the Jester
